WALL·E (2008)

IMDB: "Wall-E"
On IMDBs Top 250 Movies
This is a solid proof that Disney can do SO much with such little dialogue. I have a friend who says this is the most romantic movie she's ever seen, and I can't argue with her. Wall-E is cute, charming, adorable and awesome!

It's way into the future (2805 to be exact) and the Earth is so littered and ruined it's not even livable anymore. The humans are gone and are now living on a ship beyond the stars, but there's one little guy living on Earth, and that's Wall·E. He's one of the robots who was put on Earth to clean it up and the only one left standing.
One day, he discovers a spaceship coming down and leaving a beautiful white robot called Eve. They meet, but she's a little rough around the edges. He shows her what he found, a living plant and that's when it all starts. Somehow he ends up on the spaceship and him and Eve have to try and protect this plant who is the savior for the humans.

So if you're looking for a date-movie, a good time with your family and friends, you should embark yourself on this magical love-journey.

Big Hero 6 (2014)

IMDB: "Big Hero 6"
I saw the trailer a hundred times where I work, so much that I became sick of it. When I saw it.. it blew my mind!! I fell in love with Baymax like I did with Wall-E! And what is the coolest about it all: It's both Disney and Marvel!

Hiro (Ryan Potter - (Please, Ryan.. Have a kid and name him Harry!)
and Baymax (Scott Adsit) getting to know each other strengths.
Hiro loves to enter his robot in robot fights, because although he's young and his robot is a tiny, smiling, non-threatening little guy, Hiro is a really smart kid. Spoilers: He dominates!

His brother, Tadashi (Daniel Henney) is also pretty smart and he attends to San Fransokyo Tech where he builds and invents things and this is where we meet all his friends, but also Baymax!

Fred (T.J. Miller), Honey Lemon (Genesis Rodriguez), Hiro,
Go Go (Jamie Chung) and Wasabi (Damon Wayans Jr.).
Something horrible happens so Hiro wants revenge, and somehow ends up with Baymax and they start investigating. Luckily they get some help from Tadashis friends and they all become super heroes!

I don't want to spoil anything, so I'm just going to say that if you love Disney and/or Marvel (who doesn't..) you should check out this movie! Like I said, I was sceptical when I started out, but after "5 seconds" I was all in! This movie is beautiful, funny, awesome and heartwarming!

The Lion King (1994)

IMDB: "The Lion King"
On IMDBs 250 Top Movies
I remember watching this movie as a little girl at the cinema and I refused (*spoiler alert*) to leave the room if Mufasa didn't come back. I cried rivers.. and I still do! There's no doubt that there's a big spot for The Lion King in my heart and it'll always be one of my favorite movies, along with "The Little Mermaid", "Aladdin" and "Beauty and the Beast".

Simba is born and his father, Mufasa is passing on all his knowledge on life. Mufasa has a brother too, Scar. Not the sweet, cool uncle that many has, but a bitter lion who wants Pride Rock for himself and he does whatever he can to obtain that power. Simba is forced to run away from home and somewhere out in the African land he meets Timon and Pumba who becomes his new best friends. His former bestfriend, Nala finds him and tries to convince Simba to come back and take back what's rightfully his. Will he take matter into his own paws?

Nala and Simba, best friends forever!
Scar and Mufasa.. not the bestest of friends.. or even family..

Timon and Pumba's motto is: "Hakuna Matata" which means "No worries"!

Beauty and the Beast (1991)

IMDB: "Beauty and the Beast"
On IMDBs Top 250 Movies
Yes, it is the most beautiful love story ever told.
If there's something Disney knows how to do, it's love and magical moments. Disney nowadays still knows how to truly touch our hearts, but nothing can enchant us more then the old Disney movies like "Aladdin", "The Lion King", "The Little Mermaid" and this fantastic love story of "Beauty and the Beast"!

We have the beauty..
.. the Beast..
.. and the creepy, crazy and cocky man who wants the beauty for himself.
Belle lives in a little cute french town with her father, the inventor. She drifts off to dreamland whenever she can in one of her books. Her father ends up by mistake by a big, mysterious castle in the woods and is taken as prisoner by the Beast. Belle, as good-hearted as she is, trades places with him and is now trapped at the castle. The reason why Beast agreed to this is because of a magical rose he "earned" from a beautiful enchantress who cast the spell on him so that he would remain a beast until he finds someone who can love him before the last pedal fells by the time he's 25 years old. Is Belle the rescue he needed?

The Little Mermaid (1989)

IMDB: "The Little Mermaid"
If I had to choose between my four Disney favorites ("Beauty and the Beast", "The Lion King" and "Aladdin"), a gun to my head, this would be my pick. This is as magical as it gets for me. I love Ariel, I love the ocean, I love the animals, I love the music, I love every single sparkle in this movie! When I was a kid, my dreams were to be just like Ariel. And I'm still sitting here waiting for science to come up with a way so that we can become mermaids.

The most beautiful girl in Disney history!
Ariel is one of the 7 princesses of Atlantica. She's adventures, happy and curious! King Triton, her father hates humans and everything above water, but Ariel can't help it but to explore everything, not just under water. One day, she discovers humans in a boat, and Prince Eric is one of them! Something goes terribly wrong and she has to save him! When he wakes up, he gets a little glimpse of her cute face and is instantly drawn to her. Will he ever find her again?

Yes, he will. But she has to make some big sacrifices for him, and for that she has to go to the evil sea witch, Ursula! She's not asking much, just .. her voice in return for legs. Because, you know, "she's got her looks, her pretty face, and don't underestimate the importance of body language"!

Even the water looks magical!
The famous sea castle of Atlantica!

Aladdin (1992)

IMDB: "Aladdin"
I have four Disney favorites that no new Disney or any movies can triumph over. It's "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast", "The Lion King" and this exotic and magical fairytale "Aladdin"! There's not a chance for me to love Disney more than I do, and these four is what represents pure Disney magic in my eyes!

Aladdin is a street rat and he does his best to survive in the little town of Agrabah with his little furry companion Abu. In the palace lives the Sultan, his beautiful daughter Jasmine and his "trustworthy" Grand Vizier, Jafar. Princess Jasmine is sick of staying behind the walls of the palace and she escapes one day and walks around at the market, where she meets the charming and handsome Aladdin! Jafar doesn't like that, because he's suppose to marry Jasmine so that he can take over. So he comes up with a plan to get Aladdin out of the way. But thanks to little Abu, his plans goes up in sand..

"This is it? This is what we came all the way down here to......"
Thanks for the laughs, Genie.

Maleficent (2014)

IMDB: "Maleficent"

It's been a couple of years since Angelina Jolie was on the big screen (or just her voice), but fear no more! She's back and she's the ultimate evil from the tale we all know too well: Sleeping Beauty. But this is her story! And it's told a little bit differently.

Maleficent workin' her magic!
Maleficent (Jolie) is actually a nice and normal little girl. The only thing is that she had wings so she could fly.. and do a little magic, of course. She is betrayed by someone she cared about and the damage is done. The king, Stefan (Sharlto Copley) is on guard of her evil powers, especially when he becomes a dad to a beautiful little girl, Aurora (Elle Fanning). So now we see what really happened with Aurora, Maleficent and all of the tales we've heard.

Aurora (Elle Fanning) about to make a big mistake..
Maleficent and young Aurora out in the woods.
Fun fact: The little girl is actually Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.
"We needed a child who wasn't afraid of my face, so we hired my daughter Viv.."
